CELEBRATING OUR HEAVENLY FATHER AND EARTHLY FATHERS

(Relevant Scriptures: Matthew 6:7-15, John 3:16, and Romans 8:15-18)

Today, we celebrate Our Heavenly Father and the men in our lives past and present to show love and respect for them. Our Heavenly Father is to be honored everyday and every moment that we have breath in our bodies because we have been adopted into the family of JESUS CHRIST; we have obtained the privilege of calling out "Ab'ba Father" (Romans 8:15) to be heard in times of trouble. We are the children of God and He hears our voices, responds, provides, and loves us unconditionally. No one but God could have given us an opportunity to be forgiven of our sins; as we are reminded that "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." [John 3:16] In these times that we have experienced over the last four months in the world of a pandemic, continuous racial discord, and police violence that has led to murders of "Black Men", we are still standing in the midst and are able to cope because of the love for humanity from God. Regardless of what the enemy is doing to discourage and dismantle us; knowing that there is a Father greater than all creation will get us through daily.

Happy Father's Day to Men from me to you for any of you who may have an opportunity to read this, especially to African-American Men who deserve to be recognized and respected not just today, but everyday. May the Peace of God be upon you as you realize that He is greater than anyone and He is the greatest "Equalizer and Vindicator." Black Men are essential to the continuation of our communities and to our future generations. Therefore as Black people may we realize that there is an evil force that is trying to destroy our men, but with unification and brotherly love; we can tear down these strongholds. Regardless of what is being plotted; Prayer, Peaceful Protests, and The Prince of Peace will bring restoration. "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper..."[Isaiah 54:17] "...No, despite all things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us." [Romans 8:37] "But you are a chosen people, a royal priestood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God..."[I Peter 2:9]

Take time out to celebrate the men in your lives and tell them how much they mean to you, but most importantly, make sure to tell them that JESUS loves them. No matter what you may be facing, remember that your Heavenly Father loves you, He will forgive you - all you have to do is ask, and He is always on time. I leave you with this scripture: "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. [James 1:17] May you have a Blessed Day in The LORD and I pray that everyone will have a week filled with Joy and Peace in your homes, on your jobs, and anywhere that you are.
