On this Christmas Eve. of December 24, 2020; we wait for the dawning of another Christmas. This day has different meanings for people, some celebrate the birth of Jesus, Our Lord and Savior; while others have other traditions that do not include religious practices. As some are cooking, wrapping presents, or resting; may we take some time to reflect on what we had to do to get to now. Where do we go from here as we get closer to the end of this year?
For some this is a sad time if alone and no one to share Christmas with. As a reminder, there is one who is always with us and He is our present help always: JESUS. Take some time to thank The LORD for what He has done for you and be grateful for life. There is a wooden decoration that I hang each year for the holiday season and it has an Angel in the middle blowing a trumpet with an inscription that says "Christmas Eve Forever." Each day is a gift from The LORD and there is something to celebrate everyday in Him. Therefore, we can have a celebration in our spirit because we should always be waiting with expectation for the return of JESUS. Continue to have hope in brighter days ahead and remember the good memories from times past and make each day count to be fulfilling within. Remember to smile and keep a joyful spirit even on days when situations presented try to overwhelm you. "...for the joy of the LORD is your Strength." [Nehemiah 8:10]
May you have a peaceful, joyful, and restful Christmas filled with blessings from The LORD on High. As you celebrate this holiday season, take some quiet time to reflect on good memories; listen to the silence, and talk to The LORD. Remember to listen for the The Holy Spirit to give you guidance and a new peace. May you have a peaceful, joyful, and restful Christmas filled with blessings from Our Heavenly Father.
