Finding comfort when things become uncomfortable is all too familiar for many. Some find soothing music, places, ointments, and other relaxing techniques. There is always the choice of comfort food that is enjoyable to the palate and brings contentment, at least while eating. Whether sitting in a favorite spot, reading a book, walking in the park, watching ripples in the water, or some other favorite relaxing moment - these are temporary.
In the natural, we search for tangible reliefs to bring comfort into our lives, but we need an everlasting comfort that only can be brought by our faith in JESUS CHRIST and all that He brought to humanity. "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever" [John 14:16] We are blessed to have been left with a "Comforter" who can restore hope when loss is experienced, when facing an unexpected illness, or when something tragic happens that upsets our balance of what we are accustomed to. Certainly, everyone in the world has been impacted by the pandemic and all that has come with this ongoing concern.
For those who are in their senior years of life watch as they change slowly, some drastically, and the realization unable to manage the same. Often, one may wonder how they will get through the day, and how they will end up in the latter days to come. Although, some secretly hold these questions as lingering thoughts in their minds, they may not feel led to share. Be encouraged to all who read this no matter where you are in the stage of your life; JESUS CHRIST is our redeemer and He will meet you where you are. He will come when you need him. "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." [John 14:18]
May you experience all the comforts of hope, peace, joy, and love from Our LORD and SAVIOR to sustain you in this world of uncertain and uncomfortable occurrences. I pray that you will be renewed by these scriptures to bring comfort in times of need: Isaiah 40; John 20:21-23; Acts 1:1-8; Romans 15:1-13; Philippians 2:1-16; I Thessalonians 5. God Bless you Always.
Love-in-Christ, Apostle Joni A. Kindell
