As we embark upon the Season of Advent, there is much to reflect upon, improve upon, and pray about to allow a deeper connection with The Holy Spirit that dwells within. There are daily challenges, but there are also daily blessings when we live to see a new day that offers "new mercies."
When out among people in traffic, stores, lines, and in other settings, I take time to look around to observe the interactions and behaviors of those in my view. So many people seem to be disengaged, distressed, and distracted as if they are acting out in a role that takes no thought or effort. The masses move along like there is no hope and lose sight of what is really important. I pray that more care, time, and effort is put into motion to follow Jesus and gain spiritual knowledge to increase hope.
When we have accepted Jesus as a personal Lord and Savior; hope is easier to achieve because of past experiences. Troubles come and go, but The Lord will never leave us, nor forsake us. May you enjoy the holiday season not because of the presents and food, rather we should be celebrating the birth and resurrection of Jesus. Continue to embrace Jesus because he came into this world as a baby to bring us hope of Salvation.
He ascended into Heaven to give us hope for Everlasting life and an opportunity to be invited at the table in the Kingdom of God. Embrace hope and keep Jesus in your conversation. May God Bless you with His Grace and Mercy.
I leave you with scriptures for hope: Psalm 119:81; Romans 8:24-25; and Hebrews 10
