GOOD FRIDAY: THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE OF JESUS FOR HUMANITY

WORDS OF REFLECTION FOR THIS TIME OF HOLY WEEK…

JESUS became the sacrifice for us and He shows us how to live in love through forgiveness of those who betrayed Him. He continued to display love for everyone from the time before, during the arrest, and after up until He gave up His spirit [John 19:30 - Thompson Chain Reference BIBLE - NIV]. Therefore, Jesus' compassion to all men is quite profound in that since He accepted to be tortured in such a gruesome manner to save all of humanity, why we as Christians cannot have more love and empathy for one another?

Jesus went through every aspect of human suffering while the persecuting of those who followed Him, fed by Him, and healed by Him were the same ones who denied Him. How could anyone choose a murdering criminal over a righteous and unblemished one who was sent to save the world?

Often, we ourselves are exposed to making choices of accepting what is good or what is bad. We also face many hurts of loneliness, depression, abandonment, and other unnecessary conditions because of the cruelty of this world and those who choose to partake in evil doings against those who are true believers in JESUS CHRIST. However, despite what others do towards us, Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice for us to be reconciled with Him to receive the gift of eternal life.

Let us rejoice on this Good Friday because we have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb of God and there is nothing better for us than receiving such a privilege. Share the Good News with everyone that you come in contact with safely through "social distancing and social media." If there are family members and friends who do not know Him, share by your example of how you live, and encourage them to meet JESUS.

I salute each of you with a VICTORIOUS PRAISE OF THANKSGIVING TO OUR KING OF KINGS - JESUS! May you find peace during this festive weekend and spend time with loved ones to rekindle the unity of family.

Love-in-Christ,

Apostle Joni A. Kindell

Because of Jesus' triumphant victory to complete what He was sent to do for humanity, remember these words from Him..."It is finished."[John 19:30]
