RESURRECTION SUNDAY: JESUS, OUR REDEEMER LIVES

After everything that the LORD has done and is still doing to set the captives free from sin; even those who walked with Him doubted that He got up from the grave. Many people today do not believe that JESUS is our LIVING SAVIOR.

I know (I pray that everyone who reads this truly believes this too) that JESUS lives and that HE is our everlasting Savior, a Redeemer who had to come into a dark world to save humanity from sin and because He lives today; we also can live for eternity when we follow Him. However, let us remember what Jesus said to the disciples when He appeared unto them..."If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven" [John 20:23 - N.I.V.]. Today is another opportunity to forgive those who have caused discord in your lives...resurrect yourselves today to be renewed and strengthened through the love of Jesus Christ. His choice to die on the cross for us provided salvation to be ours and heirs to the promise of receiving the gift of life because when Jesus rose from the dead, He took the "keys of hell and of death" [Revelation 1:18] so that we would not have to concern ourselves with what happens when the body and soul separate.

As another reminder, Jesus came to deliver us from sin; therefore, understand the consequences when sin is still your friend instead of accepting and recognizing the benefits that we have when allowing JESUS to be a Friend: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." [Romans 6:23]

Let us rejoice to know that today on Resurrection Sunday that with the presence of the Holy Spirit within us that we will be able to endure pandemics, social distancing, unemployment, and other hardships while living on Earth. We are blessed with hope and an expectation for what is waiting after our journey is over on this side of life..."He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels" [Revelation 3:5 - N.I.V.].

May you share in the blessings with your loved ones and experience the Joy of the LORD by knowing that He provides reassurances of better days ahead because of the shedding of His Blood on the Cross and because He Resurrected on the 3rd Day. Despite the unusual time we are experiencing of not being among the masses of people as we are accustomed, we should still see the beauty in celebrating the Victory we have in JESUS. JESUS is the Lily of the Valley, the Bright and Morning star, the Prince of Peace, and everything else to us that we need without end!

While having dinner today and spending time with loved ones, Rejoice in the goodness of the LORD. Do not be dismayed by troubled times because help is knocking at your door and all you have to do is look up, open the door of your heart to JESUS, welcome Him in, and He will bring comfort when you are comfortless. He will bring peace when chaos comes because He is Jehovah Shilom - Our Peace. He will restore what the palmerworm and cankerworm hath eaten because He is Jehovah Jireh - Our Provider. He will raise a standard over your life because He is Jehovah Nissi - Our Banner.

Let your light shine so that those who encounter you will know that you serve a Living God. Do not be ashamed to speak the truth of the Gospel when led by the Holy Spirit! Go forth with Victory throughout the week and continue to spread the Good News of who JESUS is.

May you find hope, peace, and love by knowing that your Redeemer Lives and His name is JESUS!
