TAKE NO THOUGHT FOR YOUR LIFE

WORDS OF REFLECTIVE WISDOM...

As we go through each day wondering what will happen next, may we keep our hearts and minds stayed on JESUS because only He knows what is best for us.

In the present state of emergency around the nation, masks have to be worn when entering into stores in Maryland, medicines and supplies are limited, items from grocery stores may not be on the shelves when shopping, employment is scarce, life is full of pending results, and daily weather conditions are unpredictable. I could go on with these questionable concerns and much more that none of us know what is coming daily, nor do we know what will happen within minutes of a day, and nothing in these times in which we live have guarantees. However, the good news is that JESUS has made us promises and He will keep them. As believers and followers of JESUS CHRIST, we have eternal life coming our way. All trials and tribulations will be over and when life gets you bogged down, try with all of your strength to grab onto hope in JESUS with a praying spirit for each daily journey that awaits our participation. May you find peace, joy, and love from within that the reflection of JESUS comes shining through the masks that are worn.

After the reading of Matthew 6:24-34; the question was asked: What do you say to those who are concerned about themselves during this COVID-19 pandemic? How do you answer those who wonder why you are not worried and how you can stand firmly on this word of "Take No thought for Your Life"? In summation of some discussion among the members of East-Side Missions Temple of God - Teaching, Healing & Deliverance Ministries, International; the feedback included these comments:

"We are being shaken to get ourselves prepared for the Lord's return."

"We are being pruned to know where our faith lies."

"For those who are having parties during this time of the pandemic, they should use their resources wisely and consider helping families in need."

"Pay attention to who you are serving: The LORD or satan?"

"Don't worry about what is not on the shelves; say to God, you know what I need. He has been taking care of us from day one."

"The real issue is not in the virus because there are other diseases that can take a life suddenly. We have been in danger of dying all of our lives. Therefore, it is important to know with certainty that you are covered by the Blood of Jesus."

"All idols have been taken away (i.e. games, casinos, night clubs, and all other things that take the attention off of The LORD). Now is the time to rely on JESUS."

"May we rest in knowing that Jesus is the Pandemic Keeper."

I leave you with these scriptures to meditate upon:

"For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD will give grace and glory; no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly."

[Psalm 84:11]

"It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness."

[Lamentations 3:22-23]

"Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithall shall we be clothed?" ...for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things."

[Matthew 6:31-32]

"Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy."

[James 5:11]

May you stay strong in your faith and find peace when you call on The Name of Jesus.
