THE VOICE OF GOD: ARE YOU PREPARED TO HEAR?

(Relevant Scriptures: Genesis 29:33; I Samuel 3:8-11; Jeremiah 13:1-10; John 10:1-18; Revelation 3:20-22)

Background

Hearkening to the Voice of God that was necessary to fulfill prophecies:

Samuel was a prophet who was given to The House of God by his Mother Hannah (you may remember this from a previous writing). Eli became his guardian to raise him to serve The LORD. As a child, Samuel was blessed to hear the voice of God; however, in his first three encounters he thought that Eli had called him."...Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child. Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place. And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth. And the LORD said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle." [I Samuel 3:8-11]. Samuel grew up to be a great prophet who followed God's instructions that led up to David becoming King who was also in the generation of Jesus Christ (please refer to Saint Matthew Chapter I for confirmation). As we read scriptures throughout the Bible, we find evidence of many men and women who heard the voice of God and they answered as well as obeyed. Because of their obedience, our lives have been impacted, and others are waiting for those of you reading this blog to answer the call that you may fulfill the purpose that The LORD has for you to do that will make a difference in a dark world - All of the Spiritual Ears are necessary to Hear The Voice of The LORD and to do His Will so that the Lights will be brighter than the dark places in this world. Prepare yourselves to do the Work of The LORD!!!

Many voices are crying out to be heard by God, but do we take time to hear His Voice when He speaks? Do we know His Voice When He speaks? Sometimes we get bogged down with too much clutter in thinking about things that may never happen and easily get distracted by unnecessary burdens. Instead of seeking The LORD on every situation, no matter how small, medium, or large (that is if we try to categorize). Remember that "Nothing is too hard for God..." Human nature prompts us to make decisions on our own, rather than consulting The LORD. When events do not turn out the way expected, then an afterthought may come to some that perhaps they should have prayed first before making a decision.

The Voice of GOD is echoing in the atmosphere through the many crisis that we are being challenged with: COVID-19, the recent death of a "Black man" because of brutal force used by a "White police officer" that has been seen aired nationwide, an escalation in violence and racism, millions of Americans out of work because of the pandemic, and numerous issues that have become overwhelming. The choice of not listening to the Voice of GOD that has been sending us messages before our time and in our time has resulted in the backlash that we are facing not only as a nation, but in the world. Of course, some who read this information may disagree with what is written, but the time has come to take ownership of the actions chosen by humanity. We were made in the image of GOD, He has provided all that we need and more, He has kept us from being totally destroyed by the plagues that surrounds us; but Do We Hear GOD speaking? I pray that people will come together in unity worldwide to seek The LORD for guidance and allow Him to be Who He is to all of us - Our Father in Heaven.

Now that our country is getting back to re-opening recreational facilities, retail stores, and other venues, please remember to always use wisdom to stay healthy by protecting yourself, family, friends, and others.
